Molecular Weight	The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 50.9 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of CLU-His is approximately 35-55 kDa due to glycosylation.
Purity	The purity of the protein is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining.

Background	The protein encoded by this gene is a secreted chaperone that can under some stress conditions also be found in the cell cytosol. It has been suggested to be involved in several basic biological events such as cell death, tumor progression, and neurodegenerative disorders.
