Molecular Weight	The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 34.4 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of PF4V1-hFc is approximately 25-35 kDa due to glycosylation.

Background	The protein encoded by this gene is a chemokine that is highly similar to platelet factor 4. The encoded protein displays a strong antiangiogenic function and is regulated by chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 3.
